ضمن فعاليات لقاءات حبر التصويرية، وبالتعاون مع مكان، يدعوكم حبر لحضور عرض ومناقشة فيلم “مصور بيروت” مع المخرجين جورج عازر ومريم شاهين، يوم الأربعاء ٣٠-١-٢٠١٣ من الساعة ٧ -٩ مساءً.

بعد أن وثق المصور الصحفي جورج عازر اجتياح لبنان ومجزرة صبرا و شاتيل، يعود إلى بيروت بعد ثلاثين عاماً للبحث عن الوجوه في صوره.

وصف الفيلم

في تشرين الثاني ١٩٨١، عشية الاجتياح الإسرائيلي و مجزرة صبرا و شاتيلا، يصل جورج عازر، الطالب العربي الأمريكي، ذو الإثني وعشرين عامًا، إلى بيروت، الجاذبة لثوار العالم، في بلد عصفت فيه الحرب الأهلية. وعلى مدى الثلاث سنوات المقبلة، يؤرخ بكاميرته معارك الشوارع، السيارات المفخخة، الغزو والحصار. لم يكن يدرك في ذلك الوقت أن صوره وثقت نهاية حقبة حرب الميليشيات الفلسطينية، وصعود حزب الله والنظام الشيعي الجديد في لبنان.

ظلت الوجوه في صور عازر تطارده، فرجع إلى بيروت بعد ٣٠ عاما من الاجتياح وبحوزته “آي باد” و كومة من الصور، باحثاً عن أشخاص لم يعرفهم أبدا ولكنه لا يستطيع نسيانهم.

Description

In November 1981, on the eve of the Israeli invasion and Sabra Shatilla massacre, George Azar, a 22 year old Arab American student, arrived in Beirut, a magnet for revolutionaries from around the world, in a country engulfed in civil war. Over the next three years he chronicled with his camera street battles, car bombs an invasion and siege. Although he didn’t realize it at the time, his pictures chronicled the end of the Palestinian guerrilla era, and the rise of Hezbullah and the new Shia order in Lebanon.

Haunted by the faces in his images, Azar returns to Beirut thirty years after the invasion, with an iPad and a stack of pictures, searching for people he never knew, but could never forget
