يمكن أن تكون صدمة الوعي لدى المتلقي هي المسعى من هذا العمل، أو تسليط الضوء على إشكاليات أصبحت شائعة لدرجة صارت معها طبيعية أو كأنّها طبيعيّة. إن إلباس معضلات سياسية ثوبا عضويا هو محاولة لمقاربة حلول لها، وإن كانت ليست واقعية في الحقيقة، لكنّها تؤدي إلى النتيجة المرجوة. ثلاثية) المشكلة-العلاج-الحل( هي معادلة تنقصها الواقعية، لكن لو تصورنا أننا نستطيع حل أزماتنا بحبة دواء لكانت الحياة أفضل. العلاج هنا يداوي ظواهر ناتجة عن سبب معروف لكن الوصول إليه، وبعد التجربة، من الصعوبة بحيث جعلنا نتقبله كواقع حتمي ونسعى للتعايش بسلبية مع نتائجه.
The aim of this work is possibly to shock the viewer’s consciousness, or possibly to shed light on problems which are so common that they have become normal or seemingly so. To shroud political dilemmas in organic dress as an attempt to touch on solutions, is not realistic in fact, however arrives at the target. The problem-remedy-solution is a three part formula lacking in realism. However, if we imagined a pill to solve each of our problems then life would be better. The remedy here only cures the symptoms caused by a known reason but arriving to it, and after experience, is so difficult we resolve to accepting it as indisputable fate and to passively living with its results.
رائد ابراهيم فنان بصري حاصل على شهادة عليا في الرسم والتصوير من معهد الفنون الجميلة في الجامعة اللبنانية في 1998 وله مشاركات في عدّة ورشات عمل ومعارض في الأردن ولبنان وإيرلندة وبريطانيا ومعرضان شخصيان في زيكو هاوس في بيروت في 2001 والمركز الثقافي الفرنسي في عمّان في 2007 بعنوان مشاهد مدينيّة.
Raed Ibrahim is a visual artist with a high diploma in Drawing and Painting from the Fine Art Institute at the Lebanese University obtained in 1998. He has taken part in workshops in exhibitions in Jordan, Lebanon, Ireland and the UK. He has also held two solo exhibitions, at Zico House in Lebanon in 2001 entitled Urban Sites and in The French Cultural Centre in Amman in 2007 entitled City Sites.
