Events in Amman, December 25 – 31

الأحد 26 كانون الأول 2010

2010 is coming to a close, and this is one of the lighter weeks on Amman’s events calendar. This past year has witnessed increased activity in the city’s arts and culture scene; we’re had many festivals, countless exhibitions, great concerts, talks, film screenings, dance performances, comedy and theater. We’ve seen Amman offer more options, cater to different tastes, and showcase a lot of local talent.

Help us compile a list of this year’s most interesting cultural events in Amman; tell us what your favorites were, and if you have photos you can share, send them to [email protected]

This week, Abdel Hamid Shoman hosts Talal Abu Ghazaleh for a talk on where Jordan and the region are heading; Darat Al-Funun organize a talk by MIT Art professor Antoni Muntadas on the Construction of Fear at the University of Jordan; Akher Zafeer perform at Caesar’s, and Chanoyu Arabia introduce you to Japanese Tea Culture at the Jordan River Foundation. And there’s more; theater, film, book readings, and music. Details below.
